COT Ready To Roll
March 5, 2007
The "Car of Tomorrow" is the result of a seven-year project created at NASCAR's Research and Development Center. The goal of the COT's is to create a safer, more cost efficient and performance enhanced race car.
Furniture Row Racing recently tested their COT Chevy Impala SS at Bristol Motor Speedway. General Manager, Joe Garone provides some insight on the outcome of the test.
"Bristol was a good test for the team. The Furniture Row Racing COT performed well. The set up in the car has a nostalgic feel similar to the cars that ran years ago, and I think this could play into Kenny's hands. Kenny did a good job of understanding the feel of the car, and at the end of the day we finished 12th fastest of the 61 cars that made laps."
The COT will debut at Bristol Motor Speedway on March 25th.
