Mission in Michigan
June 13, 2007
Furniture Row Racing is currently testing at Virginia International Raceway with driver Kenny Wallace to prepare for upcoming road course races.
After the test, the team heads to Michigan to take on the field on the 2-mile, D-shaped oval.
The team is regrouping from last weekend at Pocono.
Their 36th qualifying time didn't hold up after owner's points and a past champion's provisional were factored in.
The time sent the team packing.
Eager to get back on track, the team's mission is to focus on qualifying this Friday.
After the #78 makes it into the show, they will turn their attention to Michigan's wide, fast surface and the field of 43 cars jockeying for position. The #78 crew is aware that in many instances, the key to success at Michigan boils down to a battle of the best fuel mileage, or which team turns the quickest pit stop.
The Michigan race will be broadcast on TNT on Sunday, June 17.
