The Elements Get the Best of Furniture Row Racing at Michigan
After a very successful test run, team Furniture row was anxious to take on Michigan International Speedway, however Mother Nature had other plans.
Stormy conditions lead to qualifying being rained out. Therefore, owners’ points determined the lineup of the race. This was a bad break for team Furniture Row. The team didn't make the top 42 cut, and was forced to pack up and head home.
However, it was a perfect day for Ryan Newman. After starting 38th, he passed Greg Biffle on the restart with six laps remaining, then pulled away for his second Busch Series victory at Michigan.
Furniture Row Racing now turns their attention to California Speedway on 9/3. This will be Robertson first attempt to run on a 2-mile oval. Although the team is not testing before the race, they are anxious to head out to the sunshine state and take on the field.
