Got Something To Say?

Denver, CO- Furniture Row Racing's Cup program will hold a press conference at noon ET on Sat. Oct 21 at Martinsville's Infield Media Center to announce future plans for the team.
In attendance will be Cup driver and motorsport personality Kenny Wallace, and the crew chief for the #78 Chevy Monte Carlo, Joe Garone.
Garone and Wallace will attend the press conference between prepping for the race at Martinsville's .526-mile track.
Martinsville is the sixth race in the 2006 Chase for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup. Sunday’s event marks the beginning of the second half of the Chase. Five events are completed; five remain before the 2006 champion is crowned.
Martinsville’s will pose a unique challenge for driver Kenny Wallace this weekend. The track features tight, flat surface and hairpin-like turns, which demand precision, both in set-ups and emotions. Equipment also is of utmost importance. The #78 will constantly work its brakes at Martinsville, and “boiling” the brakes (overheating them) is to be avoided at all costs.
The team is looking forward to the short track race after issues during last weekends qualifying effort lead to a crash for driver Kenny Wallace. Crew chief Joe Garone explains what happened. "Despite the car bottoming out, we ran a good time in turns one and two. However, Kenny got caught up in a previous accident site spill which caused him to slide into the wall."
