Furniture Row Racing heads to Martinsville speedway this weekend with driver Joe Nemechek to take on its .526-mile surface.

Sunday’s Subway 500 at Martinsville Speedway marks the 15th event for the Car of Tomorrow – NASCAR’s next-generation racecar that will compete fulltime in ’08.

General Manager, Joe Garone comments on Martinsville and the circumstances at Lowe’s last weekend that resulted in a DNQ.

“We went into Charlotte not even thinking of missing the race. However, we learned a valuable lesson. Until we are in the top 35 in owner’s points, we have to keep focused on qualifying set ups and running the car the same way we have been. We moved away from the setups we usually run, and changed the way we ran the practice session and didn’t have a good result.

Martinsville is the next race.

We had a good test at Milwaukee in preparation for the Martinsville track, and are looking forward to qualifying.”
