Rain Washes Out Martinsville Qualifying; Nemechek to Start 42nd

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (Oct. 17, 2008) -- Friday's Sprint Cup qualifying session at Martinsville Speedway was canceled due to rain. The 43-car starting lineup for Sunday's Tums QuikPak 500 will be set according to the NASCAR rulebook.

Joe Nemechek, driving the No. 78 Furniture Row Racing Chevrolet, will start 42nd.

Sprint Cup teams are scheduled for two practice sessions on Saturday.

Sunday's race will be televised on ABC, beginning with a prerace show at 1 p.m. ET (11 a.m. MT)
